This a reminder for our members that have been placed at other locations, please submit your return to homeplant request if you are planning to return to Shap when production resumes. Production is anticipated to resume for one shift during the first week of Jan 2018, with additional shifts/crews being recalled 3 to 4 weeks later.

An additional 977 referrals were pulled this morning, FCA will contact our members and inform them of their referral being pulled today. Our members should expect a call from an 877 area code.

Temporary Placement Opportunity |

FCA will initiate a robo-call to canvass for temporary employment opportunities in the Detroit labor market area. The canvass is for the remainder of our members that are still on indefinite layoff.

Sub Dues Overpayment |
|
Greetings,
The subpay dues refund will be handled by FCA, this is due to the fact that Local 1700 is not the only Local impacted by the company's error. We are awaiting details from the International Union regarding the specifics on how the process of refunding the overpayment will be handled and how soon can our members expect their refund.

Placement Update |

In addition to the 115 placements announced earlier this week, 50 more of our members will be placed within the next week or so. This brings the total number of placements announced this week to 165, leaving a total of 40 members that need to be placed. Your Local Leadership team will continue to work with the International Union and FCA to secure placement for our members.

Confirmation has been received that 115 of our members that are still on indefinite layoff, will be placed in the Detroit labor market area within the next 10 days or so. This will leave us with approximately 95 members awaiting placement. Additional information will be communicated upon its availability.
